About Jennifer Baccanello
Experienced yoga instructor in Hong Kong with a heart-centred approach.
Who I am
Hi, I'm Jen. I've spent over a decade guiding students through movement, breath and self-awareness. To me, yoga isn't just a workout. It's a way of living with intention, clarity and compassion.
My teaching blends classical yogic techniques with modern mindfulness practices. I work to keep every class supportive and inclusive, for students of all ages, body types and experience levels.
How I found yoga
I first came to yoga in my early twenties, during a stressful time in my life. I was looking for something that could help me feel grounded and connected again.
What started as a way to ease physical tension and calm my nerves quickly grew into something much deeper. It became a lifelong passion, and the path I now walk every day, both personally and professionally.
Training
Over the years I've trained extensively in:
- Trauma-informed yoga
- Prenatal yoga
- Meditation
- Mindfulness facilitation
This training shapes how I teach and lets me meet students where they are, whether they're brand new to yoga or long-time practitioners exploring deeper layers of awareness.
My teaching style
My classes focus on the connection between breath and movement. I encourage students to move mindfully and tune into the rhythm of their own bodies.
I teach Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative yoga. No two classes are exactly alike. Each one is planned to offer both structure and freedom, strength and softness.
Beyond the poses, I bring in mindfulness, self-compassion and energy awareness. The goal is flexibility and strength, along with an inner stillness and resilience you can carry off the mat.
